VELAIR i16 VSD is a self-contained (package) marine air conditioner with variable-speed VSD (inverter) technology operating between 6,000 and 16,000 BTU.

The brushless DC inverter compressor continuously adjusts cooling capacity between 20 and 100 Hz to match ambient and set temperature: it runs at maximum power to cool cabins quickly, then reduces output and consumption to maintain optimum comfort with minimum energy once the set temperature is reached. The heat pump reverse-cycle feature provides both cooling and heating; it delivers quiet, efficient, and eco-friendly performance with only ±0.5°C temperature variation, near-zero compressor noise and vibration, no inrush current at start-up, and R32 refrigerant. It is controlled by a wall-mounted touchscreen display and remotely by smartphone via WiFi; designed and manufactured in Italy.
