The VDO OceanLink 3000 RPM tachometer is an 85 mm (3-3/8") master gauge for marine diesel engines that combines an analog pointer with a built-in dot-matrix LCD. It reads engine speed from NMEA 2000, SAE J1939 or a conventional analog signal, so it suits both modern electronic engines and older mechanical ones.
Besides engine speed, the LCD can show data such as oil pressure, fuel consumption and operating hours. As the master of an OceanLink system, it shares data over NMEA 2000 and drives up to 16 EasyLink satellite gauges through a single cable, reducing wiring and installation time. The anti-fog double-layer lens and reverse polarity protection make it well suited to the marine environment.
