The Marinco 4006 DynoPlate is a 15 cm (standard) grounding plate mounted to the hull; it provides a large contact surface area for SSB/radio grounding and lightning protection.
Its sintered (porous) bronze construction offers far greater effective surface area than a flat plate, establishing a low-resistance ground connection with seawater; this improves radio range and lightning discharge, while its gold-plated studs provide a corrosion-free, reliable connection (ABYC compliant).
